Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
The PNP has been part of Canada’s immigration policy for many years. These programs not only help people find regular jobs in the country, but also help replenish the talent pool in states that are short of talent.
Suppose there is a shortage of nurses in a county. If you run as a nurse for citizenship in that state, that state will review your application and forward it to the federal level. Once your application is accepted, you will receive a PR. Note that states can only make recommendations and then apply to the Federal Register. This is a very important part and if you meet the requirements it can speed up the whole process of your application. If you have an active profile in the Canadian Express Entry pool, opting into the Express Entry Aligned PNP will improve your CRS score by 600 points. This will almost certainly ensure an invitation to the next round that you will receive for your application.
If you don’t have an Express Entry profile or are not eligible for it, don’t worry. You can apply for a Non-Express Entry Aligned PNP at any time. What’s going on here is that each province in Canada has about 80 active PNP streams at any given time, and some common streams are:
- Jobs PNPS
- Study a job or study a PNP
- Occupation required
- Entrepreneurial PNP
You can choose one based on your skills and have a chance to win a PR invite. Please contact the Star Immigration team at any time for more information and all of the above options. Please contact us.
