Post Graduate Work Permit
Students with a degree/diploma from certain designated study institutions can apply for a post-graduation work permit in Canada. However, an applicant can apply for a work permit within 180 days after graduation or from the date she received her diploma.
Students who obtain a work permit in Canada after graduation can stay for up to three years. A postgraduate work permit in Canada brings candidates one step closer to permanent residency.

The best example would be the temporary work permit program for international students affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This temporary work permit was opened around January 27, 2021 and has helped about 52,000 applicants.
